Government Forms Committee to Address Federal Parliament Secretariat Employees’ Demands

A three-member committee has been established to address the demands of the employees of the Federal Parliament Secretariat. The committee, coordinated by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Padam Giri, was formed following a meeting initiated by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at his official residence in Baluwatar.

The committee’s members include Federal Parliament Secretary-General Padma Prasad Pandey and Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini.

Key figures present at the meeting included Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly (NA) Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal, former Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli, Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun, and Minister Giri. Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal and Federal Parliament Secretary-General Pandey also attended the discussions.

Speaker Ghimire’s press advisor, Shekhar Adhikari, stated that the Speaker has been actively engaged in both formal and informal discussions with relevant bodies to address the concerns of the Federal Parliament employees.
