17 injured in bus accident in Mustang

At least 17 people were injured in a passenger bus accident in Mustang on Wednesday.

The passenger bus with registration Na 7 Kha 7440 veered off the road and fell into the Kaligandaki River along the Myagdi-Jomsom road section of the Kaligandaki corridor.

The bus fell some 45 meters down the road.

The injured passengers have been sent to Pokhara by ambulance for further treatment.

The injured individuals include the driver, assistant driver, and passengers, according to DSP Rabindra Nath Poudel, the chief of the District Police Office in Mustang. Two individuals are in serious condition, Poudel said.
