Nepal sends over 22 tons of relief materials to quake-hit Turkey
The government of Nepal has sent the first shipment of relief materials for the victims of the Turkish earthquake.
The government has dispatched over 22 tons of relief materials containing medicines, medical equipment, warm clothing, and other basic essential items for the earthquake affected people of Turkey.
Turkey was badly affected by the powerful earthquake that occurred on last Monday. According to the international media, around 30,000 people have died in Turkey and Syria due to that earthquake.
A meeting of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and the council of ministers held at the prime minister’s office on February 6 had decided to send the relief materials as a gesture of solidarity in Turkey’s relief and recovery efforts following the devastating earthquakes that struck Turkey.
