Dhirendra Bahadur Shahi elected chair of Surkhet chamber of commerce
Dhirendra Bahadur Shahi has been elected the chair of the Surkhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The first district convention held in Birendranagar, Surkhet elected a 17-member district working committee of the chamber under the leadership of Shahi.
Other elected are Lokendra Bahadur Thapa (senior vice-chairperson), Paras Bista (commerce vice-chairperson), Gorakh BK (industry vice-chairperson), Chandra Karki (women vice-chairperson) Khagendra Pulami Magar (general secretary), Nar Bahadur BK (secretary) and Anil Shahi (treasurer).
Among other elected members include Tej Bahadur Singh, Junga Bahadur BC, Prem Bahadur Shrestha, Deependra Gaire, Khim Bahadur Wali, Lalit Sunar, Janak Bista, Padma Deuba and Belmati Nepali, Chair Shahi informed.
Congratulating the newly-elected working committee members, Karnali Province Chief Minister Rajkumar Sharma urged the new team to come up with a plan to help thrive the economy of the province.
