Summit confessed of working without passing the map, demand of locals to take strict action
Summit Hotel Pvt Ltd has accepted that the work of the under-construction Summit Apartment in Bakhundol in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-1 was started without passing the map. Sanchit Shrestha, the project manager on behalf of the company, issued a statement today and said that the process including passing the map will now be carried forward.
Surrounding houses were subsided and collapsed while constructing an Summit Apartment in Bakhundol, Lalitpur at around 2 AM Saturday. The surrounding houses subsided when a dozer was used to dig the foundation of new apartment. Two houses attached to the land where the apartment is to be built have been completely destroyed.
The road is also crashed. There was a rush of locals at night. However, there was no human loss.
Locals demand that strict action should be taken against the builders according to the current law as it is a case of negligence that may also have caused human harm.
In the Parliament meeting on Tuesday, Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Asif Shah demanded strict action against the culprits. “Even if the people build a tower, the municipality comes and checks whether the map has been passed or not. From whose connivance did this happen?” he asked.
