Dhulikhel municipality and Japanese company sign MoU for cooperation in agriculture

The Dhulikhel municipality and a Japanese company have entered into an agreement to exchange cooperation in agriculture sector.

According to the MoU signed recently between the Municipality and Rinokino Company, Rinokino would impart six-months long training to local farmers in Dhulikhel on agricultural skills and leveraging technology to scale up agriculture productions.

Furthermore, the Japanese Company would provide Japanese language training for the same period, according to Ashok Kumar Byanju, Mayor of the Municipality.

The farmers selected from the training would also be provided job in 10 various agriculture industries and home-care company in Japan for five years, according to the MoU signed between the two parties.

“Farmers attending training will be put through skill test and those passing the test would be sent to Japan for employment,” informed Mayor Byanju.

The Municipality will also provide assistance in technology to Japan returnee farmers willing to engage in agriculture upon their return, it was said.

The Municipality has already placed Agriculture Act, laws and regulations to modernize agriculture and promote agriculture as well as animal husbandry.
