Rabi Lamichhane’s lead in vote counting goes unchallenged

Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has emerged as the clear frontrunner in the ongoing vote counting of Chitwan-2 elections. As per the latest updates, Lamichhane has secured a total of 3,602 votes, which is a significant lead over his closest competitor. The candidate who is trailing behind him is Ram Prasad Neupane of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML), who has garnered 2,123 votes so far. This puts Lamichhane in a strong position to emerge as the winner of the Chitwan-2 constituency.

Lamichhane’s remarkable performance in the vote counting has come as a surprise to many, especially considering that he was up against some well-established opponents. However, his popularity and appeal among the voters seem to have played a significant role in his success. He has been able to connect with the people of Chitwan-2, and his campaign has resonated with the voters. This has translated into a commanding lead in the vote counting, putting him on the path to victory.

Jit Narayan Shrestha of the Nepali Congress, who is also in the race for the Chitwan-2 seat, has secured 1,494 votes so far. While he has some catching up to do if he wants to stay in the race, the election is far from over. It remains to be seen how the vote counting will progress and whether any candidate will be able to catch up to Lamichhane’s lead. However, at this point, Lamichhane seems to be in a commanding position and is likely to emerge as the winner of the Chitwan-2 constituency, a significant victory for the RSP.
