CAAN takes action against FlyDubai officials for spreading misleading news

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has announced on Tuesday that it has suspended the airport entry passes of the country manager and airport manager of FlyDubai.

The CAAN has suspended the officials for spreading misleading news that the FlyDubai FZ 576 flight suffered a bird strike.

According to a tweet posted on Monday by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the Country Manager and Airport Manager of FlyDubai have been denied entry to the airport and had their airport passes deactivated.

On Monday around 9:30 pm, FlyDubai’s FZ 576 encountered engine issues shortly after departing from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
