NC’s Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary appointed Lumbini chief minister

Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, the leader of Nepali Congress Lumbini Province Parliamentary Party, has been appointed as the Chief Minister of Lumbini Province. This appointment was made in accordance with Article 168 (2) of the constitution, where Province Chief Amik Sherchan officially appointed Chaudhary to the position.

Earlier today, Chaudhary had submitted a claim to form the government in Lumbini Province to the Province Chief’s Office. The claim was supported by eight parties and had the signatures of 53 members of the Provincial Assembly.

The parties supporting Chaudhary included Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre), Janata Samajwadi Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Janamat, Rashtriya Janamorcha, and CPN (Unified Socialist) Party.
