UML Lawmaker Koiri suspended

CPN-UML lawmaker Laxmi Mahato Koiri has been suspended.

The Federal Parliament Secretariat on Tuesday issued a notice stating that Laxmi Mahato Koiri, a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML), has been suspended.

Koiri, who represents the Mahottari-1 constituency in the HoR, is facing murder charges and is currently on the fugitive list of the Home Ministry.

The Janakpur High Court had earlier ordered him to be detained on charges of murder.
