Prime Minister Dahal, UML Chair Oli meets at Singha Durbar

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and the Chairperson of the main opposition party, CPN (UML), KP Sharma Oli have held a meeting today.

According to Rajesh Bajracharya, the personal secretary of Chair Oli, the two leaders convened at Singha Darbar to engage in discussions regarding various matters including the Constitutional Council meeting, current political developments, and other pertinent issues.

According to him, Oli brought to the attention of the Prime Minister that the government had reduced the budget allocated to the local level. Specifically, Oli highlighted that the financial equalization subsidy distributed to local levels had been reduced by 50 percent.

According to Bajracharya, following complaints from the people’s representatives elected from the UML party, Prime Minister Oli requested Prime Minister not to reduce the budget allocation.

Earlier today, the Prime Minister held a high-level meeting with the President Ramchandra Paudel. Following this significant engagement, the Prime Minister Prachanda, subsequently held a meeting with the UML Chair Oli.
