Forms of crime changing in society: IGP Kunwar
Inspector General of the Nepal Police, Basanta Kunwar has said forms and manifestations of crime are changing along with development in society.
He argued technology-enabled crime has emerged as a big challenge at the moment.
At an inauguration of the newly constructed building of Area Police Office, Butwal, today, he said Nepal Police has put its consistent efforts to prevent and control criminal challenge resulting from the misuse of technology.
IGP Kunwar further said the police organization has adopted a friendly working approach with the marginalized and poor communities so as to gain trust from every section of society.
Citizen help desk and mess were constructed in the complex of Area Police Office, Butwal on the federal government funding of Rs 24.1 million. Likewise, a police barrack and quarter of office chief were also built at the investment of Rs 31.9 million from the Lumbini Province government, informed SP at the Area Police Office, Butwal, Dan Bahadur Thapa.
