Parliament Gears Up for Budget Session at 4 PM Today

Today marks the commencement of the budget session of both Houses of the Federal Parliament of Nepal. President Ram Chandra Paudel called for the session to be held in accordance with Article 93, Clause (1) of the Nepali Constitution.

The Secretariat of the Federal Parliament has requested all Members of Parliament (MPs) to be present at the Parliament Building, New Baneshwor at 4 pm for the session.

The government’s policies and programs, along with the budget, will be presented during the session. Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat is expected to introduce a proposal that outlines the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the Fiscal Year 2080/81 BS, except for the tax proposal, to be discussed in today’s meeting.
