Top Bahadur Rayamajhi to appear before court today

The Nepal Police have prepared for presenting Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, the secretary of CPN (UML) and former Deputy Prime Minister, before the Kathmandu District Court today. The purpose of this presentation is to seek judicial custody approval in order to carry out further investigation into his involvement in a Bhutanese refugees scam.

Leader Rayamajhi was arrested from Budhanilkantha in Kathmandu yesterday for his alleged involvement in defrauding Nepali citizens of millions of rupees. He is accused of promising to send these individuals to the United States under the guise of Bhutanese refugees. The authorities have deemed it necessary to carry out further investigations into his role in this fraudulent activity.
