Indian Woman Achieves Double Summit of Everest and Lhotse in Under 27 Hours

An Indian woman climber Yaashi Jain has achieved an impressive feat by successfully conquering two of the world’s highest peaks, Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse, in under 27 hours, according to organizers. Rishi Bhandari, the Managing Director at Satori Adventure, confirmed that Yaashi Jain reached the summit of Mt Everest at 5:55 am on May 17, and then went on to ascend Mt Lhotse at 08:25 am on May 18.

Bhandari stated, “She climbed the world’s highest peak before leaving for her next attempt on the fourth tallest peak,” highlighting Jain’s incredible determination. He also mentioned that Jain was guided by experienced Sherpa climbers from Satori Adventure. This remarkable achievement makes her potentially the first Indian woman climber to scale both mountains in such a short period of time.

Additionally, another Indian climber, Dedhia Mithil Raju, aged 17, successfully reached the summit of Mt Everest on May 17. This makes him the youngest Indian climber to stand atop the world’s highest peak from the Nepal side, as claimed by Bhandari. Raju accomplished this feat in the company of Mingma Temba Sherpa and Dorji Sherpa.

Notably, Sunil Kumar, 32, from Satori Adventure, also completed the extraordinary feat of scaling both Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse within the past two days. Bhandari informed that Sunil Kumar reached the summit points of both mountains accompanied by Furte Sherpa and Thuptang Sherpa.
