PM Dahal urges Indian entrepreneurs to invest in Nepal’s IT sector

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has recently emphasized the importance of Indian entrepreneurs investing in Nepal’s information technology (IT) sector.

During his visit to the Tata Consultancy Services/Infosys Special Economic Zone in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the Prime Minister specifically called on Indian entrepreneurs to consider investing in the IT sector in Nepal, citing the successful example of the Tata Company.

Prime Minister Dahal expressed his belief in the vast potential of Nepal’s IT sector and assured the Indian entrepreneurs that the government of Nepal is fully prepared to provide necessary facilitation for such investments. He stated, “There are numerous opportunities in the IT sector, similar to those provided by Tata Company, in Nepal.”

As part of the visit, Prime Minister Dahal also participated in a tree-planting ceremony, where he planted a sapling of Sunakhari at the economic zone.

Additionally, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat joined the Prime Minister in urging Indian entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in Nepal’s IT sector. Minister Mahat highlighted the availability of a skilled workforce in Nepal and the government’s commitment to welcoming Indian investors.

Tata Company, a renowned Indian multinational conglomerate, operates in over 48 countries worldwide, employing more than 600,000 staff. The Nepali delegation, comprising Prime Minister Dahal, ministers, and other members, visited the Tata Consultancy Service located within the Special Economic Zone in Indore.

Prime Minister Dahal’s visit to India, leading the Nepali delegation, spanned four days, starting from Wednesday. The Prime Minister is scheduled to return to Nepal today.
