Flying Shree Airlines Plane’s Door Suddenly Opens, Safe Return to Kathmandu
The flight of Shree Airlines, which had departed from Kathmandu en route to Dhangadhi, had to return to Kathmandu due to an unexpected issue. In the midst of the flight, the aircraft’s door suddenly opened while in the air, prompting the decision to turn back. The plane remained in the air for approximately 30 minutes before landing safely at Kathmandu Airport.
Ramkrishna Bhatta, the head of Dhangadhi Airport, explained that the door incident occurred due to a technical problem. Specifically, during the flight numbered 221 operated by Shree Airlines, which had taken off from Kathmandu at 8:10 in the morning, the door unexpectedly opened while in the sky. Consequently, the aircraft safely returned and landed at Kathmandu Airport at 8:38.
Anil Manandhar, the corporate manager of the airline, confirmed that there were approximately 80 passengers onboard during the incident.
