Political Shake-up in Koshi: Maoist Withdraws Support from UML-led Govt

CPN (Maoist Centre), has officially announced the withdrawal of its support from the Koshi province government and has made the decision to withdraw entirely from the government. This significant development was determined during a meeting held today (Tuesday) by the Koshi Province Parliamentary Party and the Maoist Centre Province Office (office-bearers).

Hark Bahadur Nemwang, the chairman of the Maoist Centre in Koshi province, shared the decision to retract the support that was previously extended to the government led by Hikmat Kumar Karki, a leader from the UML party. Nemwang stated that their focus will now be directed towards establishing a government under the leadership of the Maoists. In addition, Nemwang revealed the formation of a committee that will take the necessary steps to initiate the process of establishing a government under the guidance of the Maoist party.
