Rupchandra Bista remembered

The 24th Memorial Day of propounder of Thaha Philosopher Rup Chandra Bista, popularly known as Rudane, was marked on Thursday by organizing different programmes.

Rup Chandra Bista Memorial Committee Nepal and Makawanpure Samaj Nepal organized a talk programme to discuss the contributions of Rudane in Nepal’s politics and social life.

Nepali Congress leader Arjunnar Singh KC, CA member Ram Narayan Bidari, Hiranyalal Shrestha, Chiranjivi Khanal and other speakers said that Bista will be remembered as a pro-people figure in the country.

Bista was a visionary politician who raised voices in 1980 for drafting the constitution through the Constituent Assembly, the speakers said.
People’s right to know about public affairs is the major component of the Thaha philosophy, they observed.
