Ruling coalition agrees on NC’s Uddhav Thapa for CM at Koshi

The ruling coalition has announced its decision to propose Uddhav Thapa, a lawmaker from the Nepali Congress, as the next chief minister at the Koshi Provincial Assembly.

The decision was made during a meeting held at Baluwatar today, according to Rajendra Prasad Pande, the vice-chair of the CPN (Unified Socialist) party.

Following discussions within the ruling coalition, both the Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center) expressed their interest in securing the coveted position of chief minister. However,  the meeting concluded in favor of the Nepali Congress, and an agreement was reached to nominate Uddhav Thapa as the chief ministerial candidate.
