Helicopter Crash in Solukhumbu: All Six Lives Lost [with list]
In a devastating incident, a Manang air chopper carrying six individuals crashed in Solukhumbu district on Tuesday, resulting in the loss of all lives on board.
The Solukhumbu District Administration Office has confirmed that the bodies of the victims have been recovered from the crash site. Among the deceased were the pilot, a Nepali national, and five Mexican citizens.
Manang Air, the operator of the ill-fated helicopter, released the names of the victims. The pilot was identified as CB Gurung, while the passengers were named as Sifuentes Fernando, Gonzalex Abrica, Gonzalex Olacio Luzins, Sifuentes Moaria Jose, and Rincon Ismarlink, all of Mexican nationality.
The tragic incident occurred during the chopper’s journey from Surke in Solukhumbu to Kathmandu when it lost contact with authorities near Lamzura in Solukhumbu.
