NDDB, CDC to get restructuring: Minister Bhusal
Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Beduram Bhusal today said the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and the Cotton Development Committee (CDC) would get a restructuring.
Although the two entities would be dissolved, the government would continue their function, said the minister while responding to questions raised in today’s meeting of the National Assembly on various subjects relating to the Appropriation Bill, 2080.
“Despite the two institutions being abrogated, the government will restructure them to make their function more effective and fruitful,” he said.
The integration proposal does not belong to the Ministry but has taken place on the recommendation of the restructuring commission led by Dr Dilliraj Khanal.
On another topic, the minister said the infection and mortality rate of domestic animals getting infected with lumpy skin disease had been decreasing. So far, 782,184 domestic animals have been infected with the disease across the country, and over 28,000 have died from it, he informed.
