Approval for Finance Minister to participate in G20 meeting
The government has made a decision to authorize the delegation led by Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat to participate in the third ministerial-level meeting of the G20. The G20 represents a group of developed and developing countries, including India, and this meeting will be held in Gujarat, India.
The announcement was made during a press conference organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology today. Communications Minister Rekha Sharma shared this information with the public, revealing the decision taken at the Cabinet meeting held earlier in the day.
Furthermore, another decision was made to grant approval for the delegation under the leadership of Foreign Minister Narayan Prakash Saud to participate in the retreat of BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) foreign ministers. This retreat is set to be hosted by Thailand.
