US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu meets UML Chair Oli
US Assistant Secretary of State, Donald Lu, currently on a visit to Nepal, held a meeting with Chairman of the main opposition CPN-UML, KP Oli, on Friday. The meeting took place in a courtesy meeting at the UML party headquarters in Chyasal, where Lu expressed gratitude to the Nepali parliament for passing the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
During the meeting, Lu conveyed his appreciation for the progress made in implementing the MCC, and both parties emphasized the importance of expediting the project. Rajan Bhattarai, the Head of the UML Propaganda Department, shared that senior officials from the MCC would soon be visiting Nepal to further enhance the partnership.
Prior to the meeting with KP Oli, Lu had already conducted separate meetings with Nepali Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba and Foreign Minister NP Saud.
