Man Arrested for Sending Threatening Message to RSP Vice-president
Police have apprehended a man for allegedly sending a threatening message to Dol Prasad Aryal, the Vice-president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). The arrest was made on Saturday, and details were disclosed during a press conference organized by the Kathmandu Police on Monday.
The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Bijay Kalikote, is a resident of Majuwagadi Rupakot Municipality 9 in Khotang. He was apprehended at his current residence in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu. The arrest followed a complaint filed against Kalikote for sending a threatening message to Aryal, which was received well after midnight.
According to Chief of Kathmandu Police, SSP Dan Bahadur Karki, the nature of the message and its contents posed a serious threat to the safety and security of Vice-president Dol Prasad Aryal. The police took immediate action, tracing the origin of the message and subsequently apprehending the suspect in the Kapan area.
