Two Chinese Nationals Arrested for Repeated Illegal Border Crossing via Nepal into India

In a significant incident at the Indo-Nepal border in Bihar’s East Champaran district, Indian police have apprehended two Chinese nationals for attempting to enter India without proper visas. The individuals in question have been identified as Fu Kang and Zhao Jing, both residents of China’s Jiangxi province.

Fu Kang’s passport, issued on May 31, 2023, remains valid until May 30, 2033, while Zhao Jing’s passport is valid until February 27, 2033. The authorities confirmed their residency in Jiangxi, China.

Motihari Superintendent of Police (SP), Kantesh Mishra, shared that the Chinese nationals were caught under suspicious circumstances. Following their arrest, the authorities have thoroughly interrogated them, and a case has been registered at Hariya police station. The two individuals are being remanded to jail pending further investigation.

This is the second instance in which the Chinese nationals attempted to cross the Indo-Nepal border illegally. On June 22, they arrived in Nepal’s Birganj and were spotted wandering in the area. Subsequently, on July 2, they were apprehended near the customs office at the Indo-Nepal border in Raxaul, where they were found to be in possession of passports.

However, during their first attempt, they were sent back to Nepal with a warning after it was discovered that their passports did not permit entry into India.

Despite the earlier warning, the two Chinese nationals were caught again by immigration officials while attempting to re-enter the Indian border from Nepal. Following the interrogation, they were handed over to Raxaul’s Haraiya OP police.

This incident has raised concerns about border security, and authorities are taking the matter seriously to prevent any further illegal crossings. Investigations are ongoing, and officials are committed to unraveling the intentions behind the repeated attempts by the Chinese nationals to enter India unlawfully.
