Speaker Urges Nepal to Utilize MCC and BRI for National Benefit
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, stated that Nepal should harness the potential benefits of both the MCC and BRI initiatives in the best interest of the nation.
Addressing a program held in Kathmandu, he emphasized that the government should earnestly consider how to maximize gains from these projects while prioritizing the national interest.
Ghimire noted ongoing discussions regarding the MCC and also drew attention to the need to explore the potential of the BRI. He encouraged the public to utilize these projects for the betterment of the nation and its citizens.
“While extensive discussions surround the MCC, and even though there may be fewer discussions about the BRI, it is crucial to strategize on leveraging the BRI program for the benefit of the nation and its people,” he emphasized.
He pointed out that, despite the geographical distance, the railway system could facilitate exports through China from Nepal’s northern border.
Ghimire stressed the importance of Nepal capitalizing on its relationship with these two major countries to advance its prosperity.
Speaker Ghimire also highlighted the role of politics in fostering the country’s prosperity.
