Constitution Day: Three Convicts in Tikapur Incident Released
On Constitution Day 2080, President Ramchandra Paudel granted amnesty to three convicts involved in the Tikapur incident in Kailali. The convicts, Bir Bahadur Chaudhary from Tikapur municipality-3, Pradip Chaudhary, and Harinarayan Chaudhary from Munuwa-4, were released on Wednesday.
These individuals had been incarcerated for their involvement in serious crimes, including murder and robbery. The decision to release them was made as part of a special amnesty on Constitution Day.
Nagarik Unmukti Party Patron Resham Lal Chaudhary, President Ranjita Chaudhary, Member of the House of Representatives of Kailali-4 Arun Kumar Chaudhary, Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives of Sudur Paschim Province Rameshwar Chaudhary, Minister of State Kailash Chaudhary, and other provincial assembly members, along with leaders and activists of Nagarik Unmukti Party, visited the prison to greet and welcome the released convicts.
