Landslide Blocks Ridi-Rudrabeni Sector of Kaligandaki Corridor

A landslide has caused the complete closure of the Ridi-Rudrabeni road section within the Kaligandaki corridor, according to Gulmi police.

Last night, a substantial rockslide occurred near Rurukshetra Rural Municipality, close to Ridi Bazar in the Bishnupanjar area.

Responding swiftly to the landslide report, a police team led by Police Inspector Anil Thapa from the Ridi area police office has been tirelessly working since morning to clear the obstruction and ensure the road’s operation. To aid in this effort, Bidari Construction has deployed excavators to remove the landslide.

The road, which connects Burtibang in Baglung via Ridi-Rudrabeni-Wamitaksar, is one of the district’s busiest routes. The blockade has left passengers and vehicles heading towards Palpa, Butwal, and other nearby destinations anxiously awaiting the road’s reopening.
