Foreign Minister NP Saud Leads Mission to Evacuate Nepalis from Israel
Amidst the ongoing turmoil in the conflict-torn country of Israel, Foreign Minister NP Saud is taking a proactive role in rescuing Nepali citizens affected by the situation. His Chief Personal Secretary, Deepak Joshi, confirmed that Minister Saud will personally lead a mission to Israel to facilitate the evacuation of Nepali nationals.
As per the latest information, a total of 288 Nepali citizens currently in Israel have applied to return to Nepal, seeking refuge from the volatile situation in the region.
Nepal Airlines Corporation has taken swift action by dispatching an aircraft, scheduled to depart for Israel tonight. This operation aims to ensure the safe return of the stranded Nepali citizens, particularly given the recent tragic incident where 10 Nepali students lost their lives in an attack by Hamas.
Notably, there are approximately 4,500 Nepali caregivers and 265 Nepali students in Israel, all of whom are eagerly awaiting assistance to return to their home country. Foreign Minister NP Saud’s direct involvement in this mission reflects the government’s dedication to the welfare and security of its citizens abroad, especially in times of crisis.
The Government of Nepal, in coordination with relevant authorities, continues to monitor the situation in Israel and will take all necessary steps to support its citizens during these challenging times.
