553rd birthday celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev Ji
Pakistan is hosting thousands of Sikhs from India and other countries as the 553rd birthday celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak started at the Janumasthan Nankana Sahib.
Sikh community from 6-15 November 2022 are celebrating the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji at different Gurdwaras across Pakistan.
The main ceremony was held at Janumasthan on Nov 8 in which thousands of Sikh yatrees from all over the world participated.
As part of Pakistan’s efforts to promote religious tourism from across the world, it continues to welcome Sikh pilgrims with open arms.
The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) made all arrangements to facilitate the Sikh yatrees (pilgrims) despite tensions with India.
Despite the defiant attitude of India, Pakistan has facilitated the Sikh community to celebrate their Guru Baba Nanak Dev Ji’s birthday at the Kartarpur Corridor – another proof of Islamabad’s efforts for regional peace. It was due to Islamabad’s efforts that Sikhs were able to visit their holy shrine at this important event.
Nanak Ji propagated selfless service to humanity, prosperity, and social justice for all irrespective of any demographic differences.
