Nepali Film Legend Nir Shah Emerges as NC Pick for NA Election

The Bagmati Province Committee of the Nepali Congress has recommended the renowned Nepali film actor, producer, and director, Nir Shah, as a potential candidate for the National Assembly. The committee submitted a list of 91 candidates, including Shah, out of 90 aspirants vying for the Provincial Assembly seats.

The decision comes in response to the central committee’s directive to the province, urging them to finalize and submit the list by Wednesday. The inclusion of Nir Shah’s name adds a prominent figure to the pool of candidates.

The upcoming National Assembly election is set to take place on Magh 11, with 20 vacant seats, including the position of Chairman of the National Assembly up for contention. The recommendations put forth by the Bagmati Provincial Committee reflect a diverse range of individuals aspiring to contribute to the governance and representation within the assembly.
