Minister Jwala Denies Prior Notification of Balkumari Disruption, Blames Security Agencies
In a recent development, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Prakash Jwala, has refuted claims made by Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Inspector General of Police Basanta Kunwar, asserting that security agencies failed to inform him about the disturbance at Balkumari.
Speaking at a party meeting on Friday, Minister Jwala defended himself against accusations of negligence, stating, “We were not informed about the Balkumari disruptions by the security agencies. We went this way after we were not informed about it.”
This statement comes amidst an ongoing controversy, with Home Minister Shrestha and Inspector General Kunwar insisting that the Balkumari incident occurred due to Minister Jwala’s alleged negligence.
Minister Jwala took a defensive stance during a press interaction at the CPN (Unified Socialist) meeting held at Kantipur Party Palace on Friday. He emphasized that he and his team proceeded along the route unaware of any potential disruptions, placing the blame squarely on the lack of information from the security agencies.
