Protester Dies in Clash with Police at Barahathawa in Sarlahi
In a shocking turn of events, one protester lost their life during a demonstration at Barahathawa in Sarlahi, marked by a clash between protesters, led by parties such as the Nepali Congress, and the police.
The protest was fueled by demands for the implementation of the city executive’s decision to transfer the primary health center located at Barahathawa 6 to the Madhesh province government for upgrading.
Chief District Officer of Sarlahi, Komal Prasad Dhamala, confirmed the tragic death of one protester. However, the identity of the deceased has not been released at this time.
