EC Releases Final Voter List for National Assembly Election

The Election Commission (EC) has officially unveiled the final voter list for the upcoming National Assembly election. A total of 1,498 voters are set to participate in the electoral process, representing a diverse cross-section of the population.

The breakdown of voters by province reveals interesting patterns. Madhes province takes the lead with 347 voters, encompassing 107 provincial assembly members and 267 local-level mayors and deputy mayors. Following closely is the Koshi region, boasting 367 voters, including 93 provincial assembly members and 274 local-level representatives. Meanwhile, Bagmati province boasts 347 voters, with 110 provincial assembly members and 237 local-level representatives.

Gandaki province is next in line, contributing 230 voters to the total count. This consists of 60 provincial assembly members and 170 local-level representatives. Lumbini province, with 305 voters, includes 87 provincial assembly members and 218 local-level representatives.

Moving towards the western regions, Karnali province has 196 voters, comprising 40 provincial assembly members and 156 local-level representatives. Sudurpaschim province completes the picture with 228 voters, which includes 52 provincial assembly members and 176 local-level representatives.

The Election Commission has officially scheduled the National Assembly election for January 25, where 19 members will be elected to represent the diverse voices and interests of the nation. This crucial electoral event is poised to shape the future trajectory of the country, as citizens prepare to exercise their democratic right and participate in the democratic process.
