Police Assistant Constable Dies in Tragic Accident on Duty
Police Assistant Constable Hemraj LG tragically passed away after an unfortunate incident while returning from duty. According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, LG lost his life after falling from the police van with registration number Baa 1 Jha 7418 at around 11:15 pm.
Preliminary investigations suggest that LG fell from the vehicle and sustained a fatal head injury when he hit the road after landing on his back while disembarking near Satungal. Kathmandu Valley Police Office’s Chief, AIG Deepak Thapa, confirmed the incident, stating, “He died after falling from the vehicle while on duty.”
Following the incident, LG’s body has been transferred to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajganj, for post-mortem examination. Additionally, the driver of the van, assistant constable Ram Prasad Yadav, has been detained for further inquiry, as per police reports.
Authorities have assured that a thorough investigation into the matter is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding LG’s untimely demise.
