Pokhara: Set to Shine as Tourism Capital!
Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Raj Pandey, has announced that Pokhara Metropolis is poised to be declared the capital city of tourism within the month of Chaitra.
Despite repeated appeals , the federal government has yet to officially designate it as the tourism capital. In response to this delay, the provincial government and Pokhara Metropolis have joined forces to expedite the process.
Under the leadership of Dr. Krishna Chandra Devkota, Vice Chairman of the Gandaki Province Policy and Planning Commission, a committee was established to study and prepare for the declaration.
The committee has promptly submitted its report to the government, signaling a significant step forward in Pokhara’s journey towards becoming the focal point of tourism in Nepal.
