Nepali Congress Mahasamiti Meeting Concludes Today
The four-day deliberations of the Nepali Congress Mahasamiti, or national council, are set to draw to a close today, marking the culmination of a comprehensive review of party policies and organizational matters.
Since February 19, the Mahasamiti meeting of the ruling party has been underway in Godavari, Lalitpur, with delegates engaged in intensive discussions and deliberations on various reports. The final day of the meeting will focus on presenting suggestions gleaned from group-wise discussions held over the past three days.
According to Min Bishwakarma, Head of the NC Information, Communication, and Publicity Department, the provincial office-bearers of the party will present the suggestions from the group discussions during the plenary session today. Subsequently, the closing ceremony is scheduled to take place later this afternoon.
Throughout the meeting, key reports addressing policy proposals, organizational strategies, contemporary political dynamics, economic analyses, and audit findings were presented by prominent party leaders. Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma, along with spokesperson Dr. Prakasharan Mahat and Audit Committee Coordinator Shyam Kumar Ghimire, delivered comprehensive insights into these critical areas.
Additionally, district presidents, heads of sister organizations, and representatives from public relations committees offered their perspectives on the reports, enriching the discussions with diverse viewpoints.
With participation from over 2000 Mahasamiti members hailing from various regions of Nepal and abroad, the meeting served as a platform for robust exchanges and collective decision-making, reaffirming the party’s commitment to democratic principles and inclusive governance.
