Oli’s Attack on Madhav Nepal: ‘No Unity with Those Splitting Party’
Chairman of CPN-UML and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that there will be no unity with the CPN (Unified Socialist) Party. He made this announcement while inducting leaders and activists who had defected from various parties into the UML at the party’s central office in Chyasal on Thursday.
Directing his comments towards Madhav Nepal, he emphasized that those who do not repent for breaking the two-thirds majority party, weakening the party, overthrowing the two-thirds government, and forming a right-wing government will not be welcomed into the UML.
Oli claimed that the momentum of individuals joining the UML is rapidly increasing and added, “If a mistake is made in any way, one should realize it and move on.” He reiterated that unity will not be pursued with certain elements who lack remorse. He stated, “Because they have no regrets for breaking up two-thirds of the party, weakening the party, overthrowing the government of two-thirds, and forming a right-wing government, not even admitting to their mistakes, such people cannot enter the UML.”
