Rain Disrupts International Flights, Indian Flight Diverted to Lucknow
Rain in Kathmandu has led to disruptions in international flights, with one Indian flight being diverted to Lucknow. The adverse weather conditions have also caused delays in domestic flights.
The rain, which has been ongoing for the past hour in various parts of Kathmandu, prompted the diversion of an Indigo Airlines plane from Mumbai, India, to Lucknow. According to Subas Jha, the spokesperson for the airport, the flight was unable to land at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport due to the inclement weather.
Jha further noted that while domestic flights are still operational, they are experiencing delays. “Domestic flights are operating normally but with delays, and they are currently flying only under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR),” he said.
