FIFA World Cup 2022 : Qatar vs Ecuador today
The four-year wait is over. The FIFA World Cup 2022 will kickstart on November 20 (today) in Qatar with the Qatar vs Ecuador group-stage encounter.
The world’s biggest football tournament will start with a star-studded opening ceremony that will take place in Qatar on Sunday, November 20, ahead of the first match.
60,000-seat Al Bayt Stadium, located 40 kilometers north of Doha will host the game.
The opening Group A match will kick off at 9:45 PM (Nepal time).
Ecuador has made a return after a long 8 years gap in the FIFA world cup, while Qatar will compete on the largest international platform for the first time in its history. Both sides would be looking to begin their campaign with a win.
This will be the first time that football’s biggest tournament will take place in the Middle East. A total of 32 teams will take part in the FIFA World Cup 2022.
