Dr. Gyanendra Giri Reinstated as Vice Chancellor of BPKIHS After 13-Month Suspension
After a hiatus of 13 months, Dr. Gyanendra Giri has been reinstated as the Vice Chancellor of the BP Koirala Institute of Health and Sciences (BPKIHS).
Dr. Giri, who was suspended from his position amidst allegations, has been cleared by the Special Court, paving the way for his return to duty.
The Commission for Investigation for Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed charges against Dr. Giri, accusing him of misuse of authority and corruption on Magh 9, 2079 BS.
While the court has vindicated Dr. Giri, the detailed verdict on the case is yet to be released.
In his remarks to Khabarhub, Dr. Giri expressed gratitude for the court’s decision, stating that it brings him a sense of justice.
With his exoneration, Dr. Giri is set to resume his responsibilities and serve the remaining 16 months of his tenure as the Vice Chancellor of BPKIHS.
