Ruling coalition may collapse at any moment: Bishnu Paudel
Bishnu Paudel, the vice-chairman of CPN-UML, has sounded alarm bells regarding the stability of Nepal’s current ruling coalition. Paudel’s assertions, made during a press interaction in Janakpur on Sunday, shed light on the internal turmoil and contradictions that threaten to dismantle the coalition.
Paudel minced no words in highlighting the simmering discord within the alliance, citing it as a grave concern for the nation. “Scandals are erupting within the coalition, and we are witnessing its gradual disintegration. The internal strife and inconsistencies have rendered the coalition vulnerable to collapse,” he stated.
Addressing the pressing challenges facing Nepal, Paudel underscored the urgency of addressing issues ranging from internal power struggles to matters concerning peace, security, development, governance, employment, and international relations.
The CPN-UML vice-chairman didn’t hold back in his critique of the coalition, branding it as a stumbling block to societal advancement. “This alliance lacks a principled foundation; it operates on the basis of self-interest and transactions. Such motives are unsustainable in maintaining the cohesion of the alliance,” he opined.
