Oli Accuses Government of Failing to Embrace Power Decentralization
CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli lambasted the current government for its inability to grasp the essence of power decentralization. Speaking at a training program for lawmakers at the Parliament building, former Prime Minister Oli accused the government of becoming autocratic and neglecting the principles of decentralization.
Oli asserted that the government’s actions demonstrate a lack of understanding of decentralization, labeling it as autocratic. He particularly targeted the Finance Minister, questioning the rationale behind their decisions despite holding a Ph.D. in Economics.
Furthermore, Oli criticized the coalition government, suggesting that it should not have been formed in the first place. He warned that the government’s decisions risk repeating past failures and endangering the country’s economy.
Concluding his remarks, Oli expressed doubts about the government’s ability to sustain itself and called for a reevaluation of its policies regarding decentralization and governance.
