Gold Prices Soar to Unprecedented Levels
The price of gold has surged to a historic high of Rs 123,000 per tola (11.66 grams) in the domestic market today, marking a significant spike in the yellow metal’s value.
Hallmark gold, a benchmark for the precious metal, reached Rs 123,000 per tola, up from Rs 121,000 per tola on Monday. Meanwhile, worked gold is being traded at Rs 122,400 per tola today, compared to Rs 120,400 the previous day, as reported by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association.
In addition to the remarkable increase in gold prices, the price of silver has also seen a notable rise, climbing by Rs 35 per tola to reach Rs 1,445 per tola.
This surge in gold prices marks a new record, surpassing the previous high set on December 28, 2023, when the price reached Rs 122,000 per tola.
The Federation determines gold and silver prices based on fluctuations in the international market, reflecting global trends impacting the precious metals industry.
