17th International Industrial Trade Fair-2081 BS to Showcase Indigenous Products

In a bid to spotlight indigenous craftsmanship and bolster domestic industries, the 17th International Industrial Trade Fair-2081 BS is set to grace the federal capital from May 8th to May 12th. Hosted by the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industry (FNCSI), this annual event promises to be a vibrant celebration of Nepali entrepreneurship.

The sprawling venue for this year’s fair is the Bhrikutimandap at the Exhibition Marg in Kathmandu, where over 250 stalls will exhibit a diverse array of products from more than 600,000 domestic and small industries across the nation. Emphasizing the essence of “Find Nepali, Choose Nepali” and “Let’s use Nepali products, be proud of being a Nepali,” the fair aims to instill a sense of national pride in locally made goods.

Umesh Prasad Singh, President of FNCSI, expressed enthusiasm for the event, highlighting its inclusive nature. “The exhibition will showcase the entrepreneurial spirit thriving in agriculture, with participation not only from all provinces and districts of Nepal but also from neighboring SAARC countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and China,” he stated.

Visitors can expect a dynamic blend of interactions ranging from Business to Business (BtoB), Business to Consumers (BtoC), and Business to Government (BtoG). Moreover, a cultural program and a delectable food festival promise to add flavor to the festivities, providing attendees with a holistic experience.

Organizers anticipate a robust turnout, estimating that over 200,000 visitors will flock to the fair, generating an economic turnover exceeding Rs 70 million. With an emphasis on fostering local industries and encouraging consumption of Nepali products, the 17th International Industrial Trade Fair-2081 BS stands as a testament to Nepal’s entrepreneurial prowess and cultural richness.
