Home Ministry Issues 21-Point Directives to District Administration Offices Nationwide
The Home Ministry has taken a decisive step towards enhancing governance and public trust by issuing a comprehensive 21-point directive to all District Administration Offices (DAOs) across the nation. With a focus on bolstering peace, security, and efficient service delivery, the directive aims to empower DAOs as pivotal representatives of the government in all 77 districts of Nepal.
Following a ministerial decision on March 20th, the Ministry underscored the importance of DAOs in fostering citizen trust and engagement. Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane emphasized the need for proactive measures to improve local administration performance, aligning with citizens’ expectations.
The directives encompass a wide array of critical issues, ranging from maintaining peace and security to combating cybercrime and enhancing road safety. Additionally, the directives emphasize disciplined social media usage, effective complaint management, and protecting government assets.
Minister Lamichhane urged high-ranking officials to ensure the implementation of these directives and evaluate their impact rigorously. He emphasized the importance of impartial service delivery, instructing employees to remain steadfast in their duties without succumbing to external influences.
