Prime Minister Dahal Invites Nagarik Unmukti Party to Join Government
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has extended an invitation to the Nagarik Unmukti Party to join the government, aiming to bolster coalition efforts. In a recent meeting, PM Dahal discussed potential collaboration with Chairman Ranjita Shrestha and other party leaders.
PM Dahal proposed allocating a ministerial portfolio to the Nagarik Unmukti Party, emphasizing the importance of their participation in governance. The discussion also delved into the shifting political landscape at the central level and strategies for government formation in Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces.
Previously, the Nagarik Unmukti Party had supported PM Dahal to secure a vote of confidence in parliament. Now, with the possibility of claiming the position of Chief Minister in Sudurpaschim Province, the party’s role becomes pivotal in the coalition’s strength.
Presently, the party extends its support to the Nepali Congress-led government in Sudurpaschim Province, where five out of its seven lawmakers hold ministerial positions, showcasing its influence in the region.
