Nepal Police Arrest Suspect with Pistol in Kapan Area

Nepal Police have apprehended an individual in possession of a pistol from the Kapan area of the federal capital. The detainee, identified as Prashanta Prangdewa Limbu, aged 28 and a resident of Phungling, Taplejung, was taken into custody today as part of the ongoing ‘hooliganism and illegal arms control’ campaign conducted by the District Police Range Kathmandu.

According to Range spokesperson Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari, Limbu was arrested on charges of engaging in hooliganism and instilling fear and terror in the community in the Kapan area recently.

During the operation, police seized a crude pistol, two sharp knives, a hammer, two mobile phones, and an iPhone from Limbu.

Adhikari mentioned that Limbu is currently under interrogation by the police.
