Despite Lokesh Bam’s Heroic Century, Nepal-A Defeated

Despite Lokesh Bam’s heroic century, Nepal-A faced a 21-run defeat against Ireland-A in the first unofficial T20I at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
Opting to bat first after losing the toss, Ireland-A set a challenging target of 222 runs, with Peter Moor leading the charge with 49 runs, supported by Cade Carmichael and Neil Rock who contributed 38 runs each.
In response, Nepal-A struggled to maintain momentum, losing wickets at regular intervals. Lokesh Bam’s stunning century, comprising nine boundaries and eight sixes, provided hope, but the team fell short at 201 runs. Aarif Sheikh’s 49 and Binod Bhandari’s 16 were the only other notable contributions.
Ireland-A’s bowlers, led by Fionn Hand and Matthew Humphreys with three wickets each, kept the pressure on Nepal-A throughout the innings. Despite a valiant effort, Nepal-A couldn’t secure the win, conceding victory to the visitors.
